“Learn to Love – Love to Learn.”
For over 60 years, Grace Lutheran School has been dedicated to serving the SD community
by enhancing the spiritual, intellectual, social and emotional growth of its students through
caring Christian education. We have welcomed children from a wide spectrum of backgrounds
and helped prepare them for the next level of education and socialization in a secure, loving
environment.
Individual Attention
Today, Grace Lutheran Preschool provides both nursery level and pre-school education and
child care, blending time-tested training principles with progressive perspectives on learning,
curriculum and play, combined with small class sizes and special attention by our extraordinary
faculty, our Center focuses on a well-rounded education grounded in the love of God and the
special worth of every student.
Educational Excellence
As a charter school of the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, we are member of the second-
largest parochial school system in North America and held to a rigorous standard of licensing
by the California Department of Social Services. Our teachers and trained at the collegiate
level in early childhood education and development and are trained in-house on continuing
education programs, workshops, and seminars.
Our Philosophy
Principles of Christian living are an integral part of our daily program, which includes weekly
chapel with our pastor. Respect and care for others, a healthy lifestyle, intellectual, artistic and
spiritual nurture, as well as attention to the environment, all flow from the Christian ethic of “do
unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Luke 6.31). Bound up with this “golden rule”
is it’s foundation: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all
your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10.27). With this as
our starting point, we are able to provide a save and happy learning environment that promises
to enhance your child’s individual growth process and life skills. At the same time, we focus on
the “arts” by offering exposure and exploration with music, art, and science.
